Fifth Graders are about to become Constitutional scholars! We are presently learning about The Articles of Confederation, and identifying its strengths and weaknesses. In our classroom discussions we have been thinking about what needed to be changed to create a stronger, more efficient government. Students have begun to create their own wanted posters, entitled, "Wanted: A Just Right Government". This will lead us into further studies of our Constitution. Fifth Graders will be reading the full text of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and some of the other Amendments! When it comes to homework , hopefully we will avoid having anyone plead the Fifth Amendment!!!
