To kick off our unit of study on the American Revolution, the 5th grade students will be participating in "The Walk Through the American Revolution," where students will act as characters during revolutionary times to tell a story about how the US came to be. Each student will be given a specific character to rehearse, dress as and present during the program. This program will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd in the Lower School MPR. There will be two groups who will be presenting at different times. See below for more details.

State Captial Review We started our unit on Human Rights by discussing our thoughts about what we thought Human Rights are. We also watched a historical documentary, titled. "What are Human Rights?" We will continue to learn about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and will incorporate the theme of Human Rights into Language Arts, Jewish Studies and Social Studies.
Last week, each student was assigned a state that he/she will be researching throughout the year and will become an expert in knowing information about his/her state. HW= 1.
